Cool coffee tables!

Found this post on 12 jaw-dropping coffee tables. To me, they’re not exactly jaw-dropping, but out of the box nonetheless. A few featured here.

Nokia’s Meego UI Leaked

The heat for this news has gone down, but it’s worth posting nonetheless.

I’m not sure how many of you had actually seen the original video, since Nokia has already removed all that were online (which of course tells that the content is legit!). Maybe you could still hunt over Youtube.

Well The Nokia Blog has done some cool analysis over the video, and compiled these screenshots to discuss their points. Check them out below.

My favourite is the last screenshot. Why? Just observe; you’d notice that there are 2 layers of UI windows, the top being semi-transparent and showing the recently “minimised” previous window in the background. Cool eh?

On a side note, the UI is also quite similar to the Symbian^4 UI (image leaked a few months back):

The story of the Mega Shark

Well this post actually relates to a B-rated movie called Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus. It’s so hilariously anti-physics so many people were once involved in discussing about it.

The interesting part: the Mega Shark takes down a commercial jetliner that is cruising over the middle of the ocean.

So Taubman over at Stivo made this Infographic alongside his post. Quite interesting, worth the time reading (including the critical comments from readers).

100 Pixar Characters’ Real Size Comparison

Well this one actually came out even before Toy Story 3, but only now I had the time to post on it.

This new graphic created by Chilean designer Juan Pablo Bravo called 100 Pixar Characters that compares the “real” sizes of 100 different characters next to each other. I’d love to print this one out and have it on my office cubicle.

Click to view the full version, which is of an enormous size at 7676 x 630 pxs.

Nokia E72’s 5MP Cam: How Good Is It?

Everyone knows that the Nokia E72 has a not-so-bad camera for an enterprise phone, but I’ve not really seen a full gallery of pics taken from E72, at least those worthy of sharing. So I decided to set up one of my own, starting from this one. :)

Full gallery’s available on Flickr.

iPhone 4: 5MP, How Good Is It?

iPhone 4, iPhone 4..the whole web has been in talks of it, ever since it was released. Everyone was very excited with the camera upgrade in particular. But how much does it live up to its hype? (in terms of Camera of course!)

Everyone has seen the individual pics posted on Apple’s own site:

But no one has seen it directly compared to other rivals in the market. So, let’s see this excellent comparison from the famous Fone Arena.

Now that’s taken outdoors during the day. What about indoors/under low light?

Oddly, the N95 isn’t there.

Read the full review here. Fone Arena thinks the Nokia N82 still somewhat takes better pictures than the rest, despite being the oldest in the crowd. But to my eyes, the N95 isn’t so bad too. The iPhone 4 on the other hand, seems to take images that are slightly oversaturated, and unnatural. The white balance also seems to be off. I think I need to test it myself, definitely, but from what we’re seeing here, the images don’t really live up to the hype of “It’s not really about megapixels. It’s about how big are the pixels.” Nonetheless, it’s still among the best out there.

Samsung Omnia HD is the worst of all, simply unnatural to the maximum. Nexus One is equally bad, but on the opposite side. The X6 and N900 seem to take similar photos. And E72 scores quite good too, but not very. As for the N86, I think the images go without saying, the megapixel still seems to count in picking up more details. And can you guys notice the difference due the wide-angle lens?
