Trailer: Gran Turismo 5 Night Racing

No, not a movie trailer this time. Instead; Gran Turismo 5, one of my favourite and most anticipated PS3 games.

Last week, the folks at GT5 had released this awesome trailer showing the amazing nighttime driving aspect of the game. No surprise the gullwing plays a dominant role, but you can’t miss the presence of the Audi R8 mixing it up on track with a Ferrari Enzo or a few night shots of the Lamborghini Gallardo.

Need For Speed: SHIFT

Need For Speed: SHIFT is hitting the stores very soon, with the Demo version up for trial now. With reviews hitting the web as early as few days back, I came across a video review of the game, simply touching on the graphics and gameplay; nonetheless convincing enough for many to go and buy the game.

Enjoy!

Halo 3: ODST Trailer

This is probably the coolest live action game trailer I’ve ever seen. We all know of the dead Halo movie, and rising from the ashes is this epic trailer that showcases the upcoming release of Halo 3: ODST.

This trailer was directed by Rupert Sanders, an up-and-coming filmmaker who also directed the Wolverine video game “Captivity” Commercial and landed his first Hollywood gig to direct Leo DiCaprio’s The Low Dweller.

The QT/WMV version can be found on IGN.

Volvo Launches Free PC Game

Remember BMW Pace? Well, for those who played, you guys know how fun it was until their servers started screwing up towards the end. Let’s not go to that, shall we? So here it goes, another automaker’s game – this time from Volvo, and its runs on your PC, rather than playing online through our infamously sucky Streamyx line.

In short, the game features Volvo models past and present, and can be downloaded for free from its website. The cars include the new S60 Concept, the S40, C30, the previous generation S60, the old Volvo 850 and a Volvo 240 Turbo Group A. The game also features two real-to-life race tracks, the Gothenburg Eco Drive Arena in Göteborg, Sweden, where Volvo Cars is based, and the Chayka race track in the Ukraine.

Volvo has made the game as realistic as possible, with each model bestowed with its real-world driving characteristics, including engine sound. The game can be played on any PC using keyboard commands. For a better experience, using a steering wheel and pedals gaming accessory is recommended; which means this game perhaps is really fun, more like Need for Speed.
