The most expensive Tamil film in history, Endhiran, finally gets a teaser trailer. Looks rather clumsy (the trailer, not movie), but not bad for a Tamil film nonetheless.

Looney Tunes Returns, in 3D!

If you didn’t know of Warner Bros’ plans of reviving the infamous Looney Tunes toons in 3D, well, now you do!
In light of that, WB has released a new clip from the short film called “COYOTE FALLS” and features The Road Runner and of course Mr. Wile E. Coyote!
For those who grew up with these endearing characters, it is more of the same insane and at times impossibly violent entertainment. This time in 3D!

Teaser Trailer: Earthquake Movie ‘Aftershocks’ (Chinese)

Aftershocks, originally titled Tangshan Dadizheng in Chinese, is being directed by Beijing-born filmmaker Xiaogang Feng, of other Chinese films like The Dream Factory, Happy Funeral, A World Without Thieves and The Banquet previously. The film was released in China a few weeks back, but it does not have an international date yet.
Story: When a mother is informed by a rescue team that, since her 7-year old twins are buried under the debris close to each other, digging one out would result in the collapse of the wreckage on the other, she is forced to make the most difficult decision of her life. Based around the devastating Tangshan Earthquake of 1976.
A very likely candidate for China’s big disaster film in response to 2012, but since this is about an event that already happened, it’s very different and much more emotional.

1. Legend of the Guardians
Story: Soren, a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers.
Directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300, Dawn of the Dead), the movies stars Geoffrey Rush, Helen Mirren, Emilie de Ravin, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Hugo Weaving, Sam Neill, Ryan Kwanten, David Wenham, Jay Laga’aia. The movie comes out in September.
2. Salt (Full-Length Theatrical Trailer2)
Salt hits theatres on July 23.
3. Splice
If you haven’t seen this yet (it’s been out for months now), then you must watch it now.
Story: Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a dangerous new organism. Splice hit theatres last week (not a very wide release).
4. Resident Evil: Afterlife (in 3D)
Story: She’s back… And she’s bringing a few of her friends. This one hits theatres on September 10th.
Indie Trailer Bulletin: ‘KOR3′ and ‘Similo’

I’m very sure that not many of you would have these titles before. Simply because they’re not large-scale hit movies. Both of these are sci-fi shortfilms (part of a trilogy) by Miguel de Olaso, a.k.a. “Macgregor,” a cinematographer and director of commercials.
1. KOR3
Not much is known about the story, except for a statement from Olaso himself: “An ‘ultra-realistic’ spin on the themes of Blade Runner and Ghost In The Shell set in the world as it may be fifty or sixty years in future.” It is taken in the lines of District 9, so I’m guessing it might be a hit.

2. Similo
This unreleased short film Similo, about artificial people designed to be perfect lovers (you can preview, and support the production of Similo here) is also halfway through its development, somewhat slow.
The story: SIMILO is a science fiction love story set in the year 2064. The polar ice caps have melted. The world struggles to survive drought and poverty. But those few who live in the new cities in the arctic can live a happy life. At least, that´s what they want to believe. What is a Similo? Similo: An artificial person designed to be the perfect lover. Similo comes from the word Simulating.

Trailer: Gran Turismo 5 Night Racing

No, not a movie trailer this time. Instead; Gran Turismo 5, one of my favourite and most anticipated PS3 games.
Last week, the folks at GT5 had released this awesome trailer showing the amazing nighttime driving aspect of the game. No surprise the gullwing plays a dominant role, but you can’t miss the presence of the Audi R8 mixing it up on track with a Ferrari Enzo or a few night shots of the Lamborghini Gallardo.
