Audi A7
Last week, the Audi A7 leaked online, and a day later, it was officially launched in Munich, Germany.

Briefly, the 5-door, fastback coupe is Audi’s own unique foray into the sport coupe segment with rear passenger doors. Audi describes the car as a combination of elegant coupe, sport sedan and practical wagon. Riding on 18 to 20-inch wheels, the A7’s chassis comes with aluminum control arms and a highly-efficient electromechanical power steering. A drive select system comes standard but the adaptive air suspension with controlled damping will be offered only as an option.

Also optional will be the LED headlights while bi-xenon with LED taillights are standard. Of those V6 engines, two petrol and two diesel will be available, Audi has only named the 3.0 liter TDI with 150 kW (204 hp) for now. It says the top engine will be a 220 kW (300 hp) offering but doesn’t say which V6 that will be.

Lamborghini Estoque: Planned for Production?
I was excited reading this, not that I could afford one of course. Seeing one on the streets would do more than enough!
Well rumour has it that, according to Bloomberg, Lamborghini’s stunning Estoque four-door coupe concept may yet be built, despite earlier statements putting that idea in doubt. CEO Stephan Winkelmann said this week that “a four-door car would be a very feasible approach” to a third model for the brand.

Hope it really goes into production!

TVC: Audi R8 – ‘Beauty and the Beasts’

This is a nice one, but could be confusing for the most part.
The shoot is very beautiful, with the rough and tumble jalopies racing around to a Rockabilly soundtrack in a white studio-like warehouse. The cars are in stark contrast to their surroundings unlike a sleek R8 Spyder that comes on the scene as the soundtrack changes to something that might be going through your mind when you first view the mid-engined Audi. I particularly loved the tag line “Mirror, Signal, Outmanoeuvre”.

I rarely post on car battle videos, unless they’re really nicely done and worth the time. This one by EVO, as it goes without saying, is definitely one which is nice.

Here comes Audi A7!
The first official images of the all new Audi A7 Sportback are making the internet rounds today ahead of the sport saloon’s debut on Monday. These photos prove that the production car has stayed remarkably true to the 2009 Detroit Show concept’s appearance.

Most differences concern practical details such as the shape and size of the exterior mirrors, and the air-inlets on the front bumper. The car also keeps the show car’s five-door body style with a practical rear hatch.
In a similar fashion, the styling of the interior is almost identical to the concept, sans the colors and the decorative trim. From what we know, the just-under 5-meters long A7 Sportback will be strictly for four passengers.

No official details yet, so let’s not speculate other stuffs so soon.

Porsche 918 Spyder!
No official confirmation from Porsche, but Bloomberg reports that 2000 pre-orders have already been booked so far for this superb-looking car, the Porsche 918 Spyder.

If it ever comes, in the next 2-3 years, it should cost around 500,000 Euros reports also.
Keep in mind, it’s a hybrid supercar with a V8 powertrain and an electric motor, so it’s definitely going to be costly one way or another.

Audi R8 Spyder: Sex on wheels!

Watch this video to see what I mean.
The german supercar literally spits flames in the hands of Audi’s own DTM champion Mattias Ekström.
First he drops the top for better sound effects, then tries out the 7-step Launch Control system said to hurl the 525 hp car from 0 – 100km/h in 4.1 seconds. After several turns in the empty underground parking lot, most of which involve some oversteering, he declares it to be a true sports car.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sports Unveiled!
So the rumours were all true after all.
Bugatti has unveiled the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport – its promised 1,200 horsepower version of the Veyron model – which has now set a new land speed record of over 430 km/h (268 mph).

On Saturday afternoon (July 3) at the Volkswagen Group’s Ehra-Lessien track near Wolfsburg, Germany, the Veyron Super Sport set an average top speed rating of 431,072 km/h (268 mph). Piloted by Bugatti test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel, with German inspection officials (TÜV) keeping watch, the car topped out once at 428 km/h and second time at 434 km/h. A representative of the Guinness Book of Records was on hand to witness the new world record.
For those aiming to buy one; unfortunately, there would be only 30 units made.
