Apple iPad Revealed!

Finally after all these years of dragging on, Apple has unleashed the tablet called iPad. I know, the name may sound funny to some.

Cut to the chase; it looks like a much larger iPod Touch, with a 9.7 inch screen (LED backlit, IPS technology), which makes use of the same multitouch technology found on the iPhone, Magic Mouse and trackpads.

The OS has full touch support and an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, and an accelerometer, built in Wi-Fi and 3G. The device has a home button, volume rocker and a mute button, similar to the iPhone. Not to forget, it’s powered by Apple’s propretory 1GHz processor chip.

The iPad will come in 16, 32 and 64GB at for $499, $599, and $699, respectively- this will be the Wi-Fi only version. Apple will be retailing a version that includes both Wi-Fi and a 3G wireless modem built in, which will be available worldwide sooner or later. The retail price will also be higher at $629 (16GB), $729 (32GB), and $829 (64GB).
