Final verdict: Long story told short; for a phone that’s made in China, it’s as good as the N97 that’s made in Finland. I just don’t like the tear-to-open rear cover, which is again becoming a trademark for recent Nokia models (Nokia N97, X6, 5800, etc), but apart from that, almost everything is extremely satisfying.
The model I received from WOM/Nokia would have probably travelled across all the continents in the world from one hand of reviewer to another, which explains why the sliding mechanism was slightly off, and why the camera button was problematic, as I’ve mentioned previously. If I was the only person using it, I guess even after a year or so, I would have no complaints as to the built quality.

Nokia N86 Review: Part 3
I’ve covered Landscape Photography and Close-Up likewise, so this time, I’m going to turn to normal domestic photography on the Nokia N86. And which part of the house is best to show the potential of the N86? The garden of course!

These are mostly a mix of close-up and normal shots; some just taken under Automatic mode with similar lighting, referring to sunlight of course. No additional settings were changed. Side note; thanks to WOMWorld/Nokia!

Nokia N86 Review: Part 2 [Updated!]
I covered Landscape Photography last week, so this time around, I’m going to focus on Macro shots, known as Close-Up on the Nokia N86‘s camera menu.

Nokia N86 Review: Part 1
What is the greatest asset of the Nokia N86 8MP? Well, the name tells it all; yes, it’s the mighty 8 Mega-pixel camera. It might not sound so great now in 2010 with the coming of SE Aino and Satio, but this same time last year, the Nokia N86 was the King in the game.
Since the camera is the biggest and most important feature on the phone, I’d cover that first, in a series of posts, on various and different aspects of photography. Side note; thanks to WOMWorld/Nokia!
Going Scenic with Nokia N86
Today, we’ll look into Landscape Photography taken by the phone outdoors and indoors. To put the wide-angle lens to test, I had the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC), one of the tallest buildings in the world, in mind; so here we go, some shots for your pleasure. Note how well the photos turned out!
